Perfect Killer

A virus.. Nature's ultimate killer.. So lethal no other means can be ever more dangerous..

Though it is a matter of debate ever a virus is a living or non-living organism, there is no doubt of its reputation. Ebola, Spanish Flu, The Black Plague, Avian Flu, and now Swine Flu.

A virus is able to swap genes and RNA codes with its host and other viruses. This alone is its most powerful weapon. A killer that is able to adapt to its environment and spread at maximum rate by only choosing the genes it needs.

We mite think we are safe because Mexico is so far away. But with today's transportation system, the world has been shrunk to a puny metropolis. If a pandemic is to follow, nothing can stop it.

And so I pray it does not happen. Because mankind is still ill-prepared to deal with 'the next big one'. We are still busy fighting amongst ourselves to notice that we could be at the start of a total wipe out.

Cashless

I am officially cashless.. Zero Ringgit in my wallet.. Spent the last RM16 on a Grilled Pari Fish to share with my parents. Only good food can calm nerves in my family.. Its a curse and a blessing.. Watched Ayyan with them too.. Yes, a Tamil movie! My office colleagues are surely gonna freak! :p

Earth Day

Honestly speaking, I almost forgot it was Earth Day. I know most people don't care. 64% of Americans think global warming is not a problem. That is indeed sad.

I can go on and on on how we are the creators of our own demise, but ill be "dua kali lima". I have not been doing my fair share for Mother Nature as well. My aim in life is to change that.

Anyways, in accordance with Earth Day, here's a few links from the daily feed I hook on to. Lets give Mother Nature the chance to live on, so our children and children's children get to see tomorrow what we see today.

Back to the future

Sorry I've been away for quite a while. Inspiration to blog has been few and far between. CwC is faring worse in fact. Anyhow, point of reflection : I am still the youngest employee at Legenda College (based on the people I've meet so far). I beat some by months. Haha, it still counts! As I ponder upon it, I realized that this will be the only time I'll hear those words; You're so young, What, you're 23??!! The next time I start working again in probably a couple of years time, after my Masters, I'd be 25, 26 or 27, and no longer the youngest one. Haha, I guess I always liked being the younger one. But as we all know, life can't be rewind. So whatever it is, live and enjoy for the moment.

Yesterday is the past, Tomorrow is the future, Today is a gift, That is why its called the present.
