25th December

I'm not Catholic..

So I wont have anything to say that goes by the lines of the time of the year to forgive and forget..

But even if I did have something to say, it feels meaningless coming from me; a shattered fragment from a grand mirror that once stood proud and tall..

Life has not been unkind to me..

I've always enjoyed every Christmas of every year with friends and close ones..

My wish is a simple one..

But what I feel behind it is incomprehensible and untranslatable even by my own thoughts..

Merry Christmas..

My dear friends..

I cannot say more..

But I care..

And I miss..

Have a blessed day..

Mood-Spoiler

For my entire school years all the way up to Form 6 my parents never let me go out and come back late. That was made easier by the fact that I stayed so far away from town, wit no transport of my own, making it near impossible for me even to go out. So at home I stayed even when my friends called me for Mamak sessions, birthday parties, and all kinds of gatherings. I just had to bear with it and be patient.

University life was a blessing. I stayed in an apartment with my friends. No one questioned me why was I out so late. It was a great time; mamak every night with friends, going to KL and coming back late, etc..

Now I'm working 10km from my home thus travelling from home everyday. But I get fukin pissed when my parents question me why do I come back so late when I go out at night. I have my car. I have a steady income. I pay my own bills. When I come back from work, don't I have the right to do what I want? I am no longer a 16 year old that needs a 11 or 12 o'clock curfew! Its not like I'm coming back at 3 or 4am! At most its 1am and I sleep right after that and wake up at 7.30am for work. They want me back before 12am! WTF!!

Theres a serious generation gap! How many people actually sleeps by 12 now days.. Time is so limited that theres no time to spend it with friends and close ones. I work 6 days a week. So I cant go out late for 6 days in a week? And my house is in like a godforsaken jungle with friends and any sort of entertainment so far away. The only thing I have is my handphone and computer accompanying me every night. Let me live my life my way la! I have had enough of them keeping me under a shell!! This is happening too many times that I'm so sure that when I do my Masters or next job, I will definitely live outside!!

I could have told this all to my mum.. But I didn't. My parents somehow can't take even a little of my criticism. So I shall just keep quite. When my Masters or new job starts, I'm out..

And when she had to "advice" me.. after I had lunch at home during my office lunch break. Great mood-spoiler la. Instead of resting at home for another 30mins, I left for office..

How do I communicate with people who think that their generation ways are the best and only way to go about life? I know they want the best for me.. But part of that involves me having my freedom and not being over-protective.. Be understanding and open-minded.. I pray I do not do the same thing to my kids in the future..

IRS

Haha.. I type this as my office area is being raided by the IRS for tax evasion.. Ok ok.. Its not the real Internal Revenue Service.. My boss is resigning at the end of this month, therefore management has sent their drones down here to check on this department's inventory and data to check for anomalies or loss of items. Seriously it was like a raid, with the occasional loud voices and arguments, checklist this checklist tat.. Told ya it would be an interesting month at the office :p

Space-Time Continuum

Its funny in life there's no UNDO, RESET, or REPAIR button.. I guess that's what makes life life..

There are no second chances.. So every decision you make has to be as correct as possible..

Accidents happen.. Mistakes happen.. But life presents it to you as a challenge.. So that you can rise from the ashes and become stronger than before..

If you don't believe in all this then pray one day you'll wake up with Hiro Nakamura's ability ;-)

You'll get through this.. *hugs*

happy birthday me..

I didn't bother mentioning to my working colleagues that it was my birthday.. We were having a pot-luck, and well..why do I need to advertise its my birthday anyway..

Nether less I had fun.. Good food and good company.. Genuine conversations that otherwise would have been fake had everyone known it was my birthday.. Special attention can most of the time be fake.. So I happily ate away! :)

As I listen to my Smallville and One Tree Hill OSTs and run through my friend's facebook profiles after a long day at work, it became more apparent that November 14 was just like any other day.. One of my close friends lost someone really close to her recently.. I cant imagine the emotions shes going through.. Try putting a date on that.. Not one day.. Not one month.. Not one decade.. Life altering moments..

November 14 is just one day.. together with the 364 others where anything and everything happens.. What makes November 14 special for me? Its not that I grew a year older and get presents and cash for it.. But its a point of reflection of what has happened in my life so far.. And how am I going to change it for the future.. For me and the people around me..

Typical..

Went to watch Bangkok Dangerous with HBB.. Had to have la 4 loud-mouth Indian boys sitting in front of us. Guess they couldn't get seats for the Tamil movie Aegan, a day after Deepavali :p Being typical Indians, they couldn't keep their mouth shut with their giggles and stuff.. So we just shifted to the right as there were available seats next to us. Still could hear their annoying voices but it was bearable.. As usual, they laughed and giggled during scenes like girls with skimpy clothings. Whats more annoying than that, they giggled during a scene where the mute lady tries to tell her name to Nicholas Cage using her hands, which I touch was quite heart-warming.. Indians.. Typical..

By the way, I give Bangkok Dangerous a thumbs down.. Bad script and storyline.. Even Nicholas Cage's good looks couldn't save this one :)

Happy Deepavali ya'all !!

*smack*

I need a smack to the head I tell you..

Open your heart when someone comes knocking
Let it breathe fresh and clean air
Let it heal clogged pathways and messed up minds
Let it not refill the same cracked space again
But occupy a new compartment in your heart
For the past cannot be changed
But the future does not need to be built on the past
But a new space
In my heart

Anyone who reads this post can smack me once on the head...

After nearly 3 months..

Time surely flies. It's going to be 3 months since I first started my job. All is well, nothing challenging but watching my students moving on to their respective schools after passing their exams give a certain joy and happiness.

One of my former student saw me in my office today and said I was the best physics lecturer ever. Okay, okay.. maybe that's a tad too far.. I'm sure there are better lecturers here. Nevertheless I am happy because it showed I did a decent job with the students I was teaching and not messed their brains up.

Career wise I'm still not sure where does it lie. I'm waiting to see what opportunities presents itself, be it further studies or another job.

The world isn't the way it was supposed to be

What has the world come to?

Crime is now a daily activity, no matter if it is reported or not..

October 14 : Someone close to me got mugged at knife point while being in a parked car
October 15 : My co-worker's home got robbed in, cash and jewelries stolen
October 16 : I'm sure  somewhere theres a crime going on now..

We dont have a real life supermans, batman or spiderman to fight crime.. Because we know the police are worth shit.. You might as well rename them into "crime scene investigators", "traffic controllers", "road tax inspectors", "ISA inforcers", or "anti-rally personnel".

It doesn't look like a world I want my children to grow up in. When a crime happens to you, there is a big possibility you might not be able to do anything at all because someone else might get hurt due to your actions. Its a real feeling of helpless-ness. My greatest fear is loosing someone close to me right infront of my eyes and theres nothing I can do about it..

The world is in need of change. For it is loosing its morality and sanity. But how? We can't even handle the politics and environment of our own countries. Homo sapiens are on a downhill trend.

A downhill trend to extinction.

Fear, Anger, or Numbness

I don' feel the fear I should be feeling..

I don't feel the anger I should be feeling..

I just feel numb..

Life's Lessons

October 14, 2008, 10.50pm

I thank for no one was hurt
I thank that it was only money and not blood

I thank for this to happen when I'm at this age
When I'm old enough to think and learn from it
And young enough to avoid the same mistake again in the future

Nothing ever prepares you for the first time
But the first time prepares you for all time

Save the cheerleader, Save the world (title not related to content)

I want to give her mine..

So she can multiply it by a factor of a thousand and return it back to the world..

What defines a human?

What defines a human?

Is it his creativity and intelligence?
Is it his feats or accomplishment?
Is it the care he shows for his fellow beings?
Is it finding a soulmate and continuing the circle of life?
Or is it being able to feel?

Today the question of being human will hang over my head..

For I was asked by someone I hurt badly.. Am I still even human..

I have been asking myself that question for months now actually..

What do you do when people's tears and cries can't penetrate the thick skin of your heart?
What do you do when people's heartbreak and the loss of someone can't leave a scare on your face?

Why can't I feel the pain..

Its there..

Hidden in my heart..

But I can't feel it anymore..

Am I even human anymore..

Because humans feel..

0814

0814..

That was the time i punched in for work today..

I was late..

I woke up at 0755, bath and brushed my teeth in 3 minutes, clothes in half a minute, and off!

0814 can be considered early since it takes 12 minutes to drive to work..

Coincidentally, its the first time I'm changing my phone alarm tune from Flow Rida's Low to a Salsa Merengue Mix. That must have been the reason.. Or maybe another factor played a part.. :p

Carried a cat out of the office when I did reach.. And a work-less Saturday ensues..

If

Its weird when you suddenly miss someone close to you even more when you know you wont be in contact with the person for a certain amount of time. Is it the fear of losing? Is it not being able to connect with the person? Is it insecurities? Or is it nothing at all.. When you hear the person's voice for the last time, the only feeling you have is the feeling of wanting to hear that voice again as soon as possible just to make sure everything is okay. The time was 2245. The day was October 10, 2008. Everything will be okay.

Anyways, that was just my thoughts for the moment. I leave you with Rudyard Kipling's 'If'.. A poem i enjoyed reading in English literature in my schooling days.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Yet

Yet is a common English word that when used as a conjunction , is equivalent to "but" or "nevertheless".

However, used as an adverb, yet defines an action's persistence in time. Perhaps uniquely in English, the word can define an action in the past, present or future:

  • I have never yet been late.
  • I yet stand.
  • I will yet arrive.

Also, yet is a local dialect term in lowland Scotland and Cumbria for a gate.

____________________________________________________

adverb 1 up until now or then. 2 as soon as the present or a specified or implied time: wait, don’t go yet. 3 from now into the future for a specified length of time. 4 referring to something that will or may happen in the future. 5 still; even (emphasizing increase or repetition). 6 in spite of that.

conjunction but at the same time.

DiGi Postpaid Scams.. Oh sorry, Plans..

As usual, Malaysia' political scene is once again in a mess and I'll keep to my word of not blogging about it because its utterly rubbish and only spoiling Malaysia's name in the eyes of the world. Developing country? We? My arss...

Anyway, something closer to our ears.. Handphones.. DiGi Postpaid Plans.. Like every other telco company in Malaysia, DiGi rolls out their massive packages every 3 or 4 months. In April 2008, I subscribed to DiGi 1 Plan; the one plan to supposedly rule them all..

Take notice of 2 things..

SMS to other telcos : 15 cents
Extra Features : FREE calls, SMS and MMS after RM123 usage

Lately, DiGi unveiled 4 more new packages replacing the existing 1 Plan.

Even so, old 1 Plan subscribers were not asked to change to any one of these packages even though it can be cheaper using the DG50, DG 150, and DG250 packages. I even read something sayinh, 1 Plan users might not be able to use these latest packages. I'm going to the DiGi centre on Saturday to rectify this. Better hope somebody doesn't get a hurt real bad!

Notice that SMS to other telcos using the new plans is now 10 cents (except DG20 package)

And another important information DiGi failed to inform me is effective from July 2008, they have removed the "Extra Feature" available in 1 Plan. The extra feature was the main reason many including myself switched to the plan.

Even if you want to remove it, at least have the courtesy to at least send an email or SMS to your subscribers saying so. Its only stated in a small column under DiGi Postpaid FAQ segment. But they are super efficient at sending out countless emails and sms reminders to pay your BILL!

In the end, everything is like the politicians of this country.. Money and power hungry..

1st Pay

I finally got my first pay after a month with my new job. I was quite happy. The thought of being financially independent is a nice one. Its like a new sense of freedom.

Oh ya, the Kate Voegele lookalike I was talking about, she has gone back to her home country. That's one less pretty gal to see around here.. *sob sob* :p

I'm getting better managing my work time and time with my friends. Now my department also needs more physics lecturers as another lecturer will be leaving soon. No.. no.. It's not because I made a good first impression.. :p hahaha

Price

The price of war,
Life..

The price of famine,
Life..

The price of injustice,
Life..

When war, famine, injustice, and many other social ailments do not affect you directly,
You pay the price of mistakes..

And in your world, you sometimes pay it with your friends..
And in your world, only too late do you realize friends are life..

Legenda : Day 17

Haha.. And I thought Saturdays would be a waste of time at the office.. No lectures and only the occasional meetings. Reached workplace at 8.00am and saw the basketball court accompanied by the glorious morning weather.. It could not be resisted.. I punched my card, left the office at 8.10am, went to the car, changed to my sports shoes and took the ball out for a 20mins non-stop practice! Loved it!

But then I was sweating buckets in a short-sleeve shirt and slack pants.. A bit of tissue paper and air-con does the trick after about half an hour =)

Now I'm back at my office desk writing this out.. My colleagues think I'm crazy exercising in the morning.. Lol.. But I'm energized now.. Great way to start the day!

Friday, August 15, 2008

Legenda : Day 16

Knowing me and my shallow Hindu knowledge, didn't know had to fast today.. Haha..neways during lunchtime, I drove to Mantin town which is 3.5km away to have Char Kuay Teow that was only RM2.80! Wasn't full so I got myself a Char Siew Pau before returning back to the office.

Oh ya, theres this middle-eastern gal that comes to the office from time to time.. Just found out today shes one of the lecturer's sister. She has striking facial similarities and style to Mia in One Tree Hill played by Kate Voegele. What I'm trying to say is shes hot la :p Hahaha.. Damn, I'm not good at staring at people.. Well, at least I have something to do around here while I'm free ;-)

Legenda : Day 9

Its the 2nd Saturday of the month.. So half day.. Come in at 8 and use internet till 12.30 then go back... Feels more like an admin staff with nothing to do... Haha.. Anyways, looking forward to my convocation weekend.. And good Chinese food.. =)

Friday, August 8, 2008

Legenda : Day 8

Phew.. 2 classes from 8am to 12pm.. Well..for some one who always ends up late for morning classes in university.. My god.. I'm a lecturer for crying loud out.. Haha.. Anyways I was 5 mins late only.. Only 3 students were there.. Started the class after 5 mins waiting for others to arrive..

I had a nice view from the 3rd floor of the building overseeing the mountain ranges covered in the morning and soaked in the mild rising sun.. What a way to start the day..

After lunch with Dad and Sis, I started installing my kinda programs on my workplace PC. Probably increased its performance by about 10-15%. Next up is loading up my Kate Voegele songs and getting headphones..

Oh ya... I spent the last 10mins of the day playing my Street Fighter flash game =)

My 1st Job

Yea... Working life... But I'm so not used to it... Slowly I'm trying to adapt... But I think I'm only doing this temporarily... I still feel an immense hunger for knowledge and research... And spending years lecturing at such an early age ain't part of the picture. I'm planning to pursue my Masters within a year from now. As for now, being a lecturer at Legenda College will be my first working experience =)

How I got this job I have no idea. First I applied it through Jobstreet even though I was not qualified for the job. They requested people with Masters or PhD but I applied just for the heck of it. Super surprised when called me up for an interview. I was to prepare a mock lecture in front of a panel of 3 interviewers. I thought I screwed the mock lecture.. Next thing you know they are offering me a position after a 2nd interview..

Okay before you all blow your horses, the position of lecturer is not like the normal lecturers you see in universities. I'm teaching physics.. But not university level physics.. Not STPM physics.. Not A-Levels physics.. But more like Form 4-5 physics..

Now I shall explain the complex system they have here at Legenda. I myself coudln't understand it at first. And explaining it to all my friends one by one takes hell lot of energy.

So here we go..

Students, locally and from abroad applying for any foundation, diploma, or degree program at Legenda undergo a 2 week orientation program. At the end of the 2 weeks, students take an placement test consisting of IELTS(English), Maths and Physics papers. Students who get above band 6 for IELTS are allowed to continue their studies to any foundation, diploma, or degree program they applied for.

Students with IELTS below band 6 are placed in Enhancement Classes. Enhancement Classes are provided by my department called the WE CARE CENTRE (WCC). Students with IELTS between band 0 and 3 are placed in Level 1 and between band 3 and 6 in Level 2. These two levels undergo about 8 weeks of enrichment classes focusing on English and also a bit of Maths and Physics. This is where I come in. I get classes consisting of 5-15 students and teach them 4 hours of Physics a week for the 8 weeks.

This ain't the complicated part yet. The complicated part is there is an orientation program every 2 weeks. Prospective students can register at Legenda on a daily basis. So that means, I can get a new group of students every 2 weeks. This also means my department does not have any semester breaks as it is a continuous cycle of enrollments. Non stop... Phew...

Thats all for now I guess... Tomorrow will be my 8th day at work... Anything else you all wanna know can just post here...

Oh ya... I miss being a student... =(

What does a 78 cents increase do?

I had to say I had one hell of an interesting evening because of the news of the petrol price hike.. So off I left with my Buff to the petrol station.. Well, initially I though I was wasting petrol waiting in the queue.. But I frankly enjoyed screening down the windows, blasting the radio, and looking at fellow Malaysians honking, cutting queues, and making an arss out of themselves.

Pros of a 78 cents increase :

This is the only time you'll find BFL 9994 with this much fuel in it.. I reckon about RM100 worth of it. The new rate would have cost me another RM40 if I pumped tomorrow.

The workers at Petronas were surprisingly very efficient and friendly even with so many vehicles clogging the station from every direction possible. Indian uncles were seen greeting each other! Hahaha..

Cons of a 78 cents increase :

As you can see, motorists jump queues as they will, neglecting the safety of everyone around them. In the jam that ensued and covered nearly every major town and city in the country, my dad's car got a dent from someone's beautifully impatient driving.

The government sure has a great way of announcing a fuel price hike don't they. At 6pm, when road traffic is at its highest after the working hours and darkness about to fall.. Next thing you know.. Its only stationary cars as far as the eye can see.. Can't a day or 2 days notice be issued so that cities and roads don't come to a standstill? Not to mention the countless brawls and fights that might have erupted with so many impatient people trying to get the commodity.

Fuel rebates? SHOVE IT UP WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE LA! Its just a cover to lessen the damage being done.. Think for yourself.. This is my opinion..

1643

Time : 1643
Quote : "Amicu certus in re incerta cernitur", Quintus Ennius

OneRepublic - All We Are

I tried to paint you a picture, the colors we're all wrong
Black and white didn't fit you, and all along
You we're shaded with patience, and strokes of everything
That I need just to make it, and I can see that...
Lord knows I've failed you, time and again
But you and me are all right

We won't say our goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi

I walked a minute in your shoes, they never would have fit
I figured there's nothing to lose, I need to get
Some perspective on these words, before I write them down
You're an island and my ship has run aground
Lord knows I'll fail you time and again,
But you and me we're alright

We won't say our goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi

And every single day that I can breathe,
You change my philosophy,
I'm never gonna let you pass me by

So don't say our goodbye's, you know it's better that way,
We won't break, we won't die, it's just a moment of change
All we are, all we are is everything that's right
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi
All we need, all we need, a lover's alibi

Images

You know when you look at an image, a picture, or a sight, something just catches your eyes and draws you into it. You don't know what makes you do it but you know theres something there. I believe everyone has those moments and I have had my fair share of them.

This is an image of one that caught my eye. It may appear different to everyone because no two people are ever alike. What does this image mean to you?

Into the eyes of dogs

I had a funny day today... I said my goodbyes to 2 dogs after playing and having fun with them. Just before leaving home, I played with my pet dog Max and patted his head while saying goodbye. He somehow knew I was going away again as he stopped short of the house gate. I sat in my car and waited for a couple of minutes while he sat there staring at my car.

Then later I was at my friend's place; Sophia. Had fun playing with her pet dog Jackie. It really brings you down to Earth when a dog looks you in the eye. Its stirs something deep inside of you and brings a certain calmness to your heart. I don't know what it is and how to explain it but it happened twice today with Max and Jackie.

In times like I get a feeling that dogs are not man's best friend, but a reminder that man cannot foster such calmness in one's heart... We're not the greatest design...

Polarization backfired

My Physics class is made up of some 100+ students. During classes, the Malays and about 3 Indians sit on the left side of class whereas the Chinese sit on the right side, separated by a walkway in the middle. In today's class, the lecturer decided to give a quiz and unintentionally discovered someone who didn't attend class passed up the quiz.. Ghost? he asked. Being the case that the corresponding person's name was a Chinese's, he said that we will penalize the whole right side of the class 2 points from the final examinations as the left side could not have written for the ghost.

So, moral of the story... Don't polarize..

This was one class I am glad I didn't miss. Hahaha.. I was laughing the whole way through. In your face jackasses!

Not my day

Nearly got into a head on collision, got stung by a wasp, and currently fukin the world upside down!

Not my day..

The end

It just doesn't end.. Even after the elections, you'll hear all kinds of nonsense from what the sore losers are up too.. Malaysia is just full of people who can't take a loss and learn from it. Their only aim is power and money. Revenge and hatred seems to be their only answer.

As this will never end, I'm going to stop blogging on this country's stupid politics and policies. It only generates hatred inside of me, and that is something I do not want inside of me.

Do keep up with uncensored news on the internet and online blogs. Television and newspapers are only propagandas. Only what is hidden is the truth. If not, why isn't it shown? Save Democracy.. Save Free Rights.. Save Malaysia...

Thank you.

Freaky

Ok...its gonna be 1am...and still theres so lil news coming in on 100 plus or so parliamentary seats across the country.. Unofficial sources state Selangor has been lost to Opposition with Perlis and Perak looking shaky... News on the television is 2 hours late compared to online sources... Guess millions wont be sleeping tonight. Good business for mamak! Thats if the FA Cup matches are finished d la..lol

Digital media disgrace

RTM1, RTM2, TV3... They are calling young voters immature, emotional and easily manipulated by the opposition parties... Excuses for them losing 3 states currently?

Do your fukin job la !!

WHile watching the election results, I was also watching the All-England Badminton Tournament live on RTM2. After all the Malaysian players were beaten in today's games, the local commentator goes "Esok kita akan menyaksikan semua pemain-pemain selain pemain Malaysia kita bermain. Rasa kurang bermaya untuk melaporkan."

WTF is tat ??! Do u call yourself a commentator ? Dumbass ! Report the tournament..not a biased emotional feel for your country ! 'Kurang bermaya'? Then give your job to someone else biatch !

Why la...Why must copy in exams??? Copying tutorials is a different thing, its a learning assignment..and you wouldn't want to loose marks there. So it can be forgiven. But why in exams? A test of what you have learned.. and at that you must copy.. It just despises me when I look at them looking over to get their jewel answers.. Rot & burn !!

Poor Bry Bry

Yea..Bryan left his wallet at the library.. He went to reclaim it at 10.00pm after finding out that it was found there. He got his wallet back alright..just minus the cash..lol..luckily it was only less than RM100.

But it just goes to show the integrity of university students.. Or is it just public university students? PTPTN not paying enough? Neh...I'll just go with lack of integrity..kinda reflects the ppl ruling this hellhole rite.. *if u know wat i mean* ;-)

Neways, if you see anyone handling a RM50 note that smells of beer, do let Bryan know :p

Dumb female motorcyclists

My god la..nearly bang 2 freaking female motorcyclist while driving in UKM, minutes apart. 1 dumbass, grinds to full halt while looking for parking and I'm freaking driving right behind her. I should have juz bang her down!

Another one wants to make a right turn while being on the left side of my car..with no fukin signal at that !! Realizing her mistake, she showed her tongue to herself...no comment...

How in the world do they get their bloody licenses??

You can't call me a racist when it was one Malay and one Chinese involved...argghh!! Both cases they couldn't even control their motors even when riding straight.. Haihh..

Our money

Yes.. It's the elections again.. And again people fail to realise that power does not lie in votes.. Power lies in words.. the words of ideas.. the ideas of the people themselves..

"Behind the mask is not a person, but an idea. And ideas are bulletproof", V from 'V for Vendetta'.

Just a funny video I came across from a fellow blogger.. Nice one..lol. Do enjoy the elections.. Always liked it when theres a fight on television between fat representatives who have no idea what they are doing... Hahaha = )

remember remember the 5th of november..

Down they come

Aihh.. Its getting from bad to worse.. No one seems to care about mother nature anymore.. The heat is getting worse.. The haze is getting worse.. But the trees come tumbling down anyway..

This picture was taken along the road between UKM and its commuter station.. The number of huge, green trees being cut down in Bangi alone the last couple of weeks has been staggering!! What's the big idea anyway.. Were they asked to trim it down or botak it off? Okay, they mite regrow they say; a week ago I saw the exact same 'trimming' somewhere in Bangi. After a few days, all those 'botak' trees were chopped off at the base of the trunk..

There she goes... there she goes again...

Herald 'Allah-less'

Hot on the heels of scandals n accusations, many of you are aware of the decision announced by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Abdulllah Mohd Zin that the cabinet had disallowed Catholic publication Herald from using the words Allah, Solat, Kaabah and Baitullah in its weekly’s Bahasa Malaysia section.

“One of the reasons given to uphold the restriction is because that it has long been the practice of this country that the word Allah refers to God according to the Muslim faith,” said Abdullah according to the Star.

It was only proper for other religions to use the word God and not Allah when referring to their God in respective beliefs, he added.

Click the link below for the full story by blogger Lucia Lai. If I start talking about it, all bombastic words all will come out if you know what i mean.. =)

http://lucialai.org/2008/01/05/sikh-in-msia-also-use-allah/

On my part...fine... they don't want us non-Muslims to use the word 'Allah' rite.. So from now on, I guess all primary and secondary non-Muslim students in all schools in Selangor and Johor are exempted from singing their state anthems respectively? Why? Both of them contain 'Allah' what.. ;)

Why I'm writing this post? Because I remember being asked to sing that %&@#! anthem in school...

Scandal? What scandal?

I'm sure most of you all have already got the headlines the 1st few days of the new year... Besides the fireworks pics, there was also the sex scandal involving the Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek. Well its not really a scandal, Malaysians just turned it into one..lol..

Not withstanding the fact that he has been the target of political sabotage, the reason of his resignation from all of his post in my opinion is due to Malaysians who can't get past their narrow views and look at it from a bigger picture... and threw out a hardworking and dedicated people's minister out of his seat..dooming the goverment to more and more useless ppl..

I respect and salute him for being accountable and responsible for his actions. It's something you don't see much in today's world..a world where everyone only cares about is their position, wealth and power.. In his reign of Health Minister he has done countless deeds to public service particularly at hospitals where waiting time has been reduced from 3 hours to an hour, direct and fast medical access for the disabled and not to mention, he has visited 70% of all hospitals in the country! Unofficially i might add! that means he visited the hospitals without them knowing it.. If that doesn't spell dedication, I do not know what does..

His apology of his actions..accepted by friends and family but not by most Malaysians..How can the closest people to him accept and the public don't? Like lah the public know him so well personally and emotionally?

Don't think Malaysians are naive when it comes to such sexual acts...such videos are all over the internet involving none other than the public itself.. What happenend was a private and personal issue..but political sabotage..and the people's sabotage has reaped its ugly head once again..

Now to all ya other national leaders out there..this sexual video is nothing as compared to how this country is being managed! Its a bigger crime than what Dr Chua has done.. He served his country well.. Dr S******** get the dumb hint! Leave in grace.. or leave in shame.. Guess he has chosen his fate already.. gud day!

*rubinho thanks all Malaysians involved in getting rid of a people's minister...the last few around...
